Album review: Dye It Blonde by Smith Westerns
Thanks to some connections, I got my hands on the unpublished Smith Westerns album so here's a little review.

I remember Smith Westerns as a band with a cool lo-fi sound but the new album has a very clean production and it sounds more like ordinary poppy indie rock. It's way more commercial and I think this album will reach a larger audience than their older stuff.
A few tracks actually stood out and those songs are "All die young", "Dye the world", "Smile" and "Only one". The rest of the album is pretty poppy and more cheery. After all I would say that this still sounds like Smith Westerns, just not so lo-fi. I would recommend this album to anyone who likes indie rock and pop. Buy it!
The album will be out on January 18 on Fat Possum Records. You can also pre-order to get a free album download a week before release.
While waiting for the album to be released, listen to "All die young" here!
